Family Health Center Opens $15MM Clinic
Three years ago, it was discovered that Kalamazoo’s south side contained the largest population of people with limited health care options.
After covering residents in the city’s north side with a clinic at 117 W. Patterson St., Family Health Center CEO and President Denise Crawford said a community needs assessment determined it was time to place resources across town. More than a year after breaking ground at 505 E. Alcott St., a $15 million, 50,000-square-foot family health clinic is accepting patients in the Edison Neighborhood.
“This health care campus became the foundation, today you see it all come to fruition,” Crawford said. “We’re truly hoping we can transform the care (on the south side).”
